SYNOPSIS
     USE HPF_LIBRARY

     MINVAL_SCATTER(ARRAY, BASE, INDX1, ..., INDXn, MASK)

DESCRIPTION
     MINVAL_SCATTER scatters elements of ARRAY selected  by  MASK
     to  positions  of  the  result indicated by the index arrays
     INDX1, ...INDXn. Each element of the result is assigned  the
     minimum  value  of the corresponding element of BASE and the
     elements of BASE scattered to that position.

ARGUMENTS
     ARRAY
          must be of type integer or real. It must not be scalar.

     BASE must be of type logical with the same kind type parame-
          ter as ARRAY.

     INDX1...INDXn
          must be of type integer and conformable with ARRAY.

     MASK this optional argument must be of type logical and must
          be conformable with ARRAY.

RESULT TYPE
     Same type and shape as BASE.
