Experiment 11
1-D COLLISIONS

ANALYSIS

1.  Assuming your data have been entered correctly, the pre-entered formulas should automatically complete all the tables in your spreadsheet. If you have blanks or incomplete tables, ask your lab assistant for help.

2.  Once the tables are complete, examine each group of data to see if momentum and energy are conserved (to an accuracy of say about 15% or less), and answer the (Yes/No) questions regarding conservation at the end of each section.

3.  Also, complete the Questions at the end of each section by giving some reasons why these results might not be as accurate as desired, and suggest modifications that could improve the accuracy.

4.  Print out the Worksheet and use it to develop your lab report.
