AstroCam @ BGOH

Recently, and old friend kindly bought our family an Estes Ocacle model rocket that contains a digital video camera. We've started making flights around our town of Bowling Green, Ohio (USA) and are so excited we wanted to share them with Todd (the old friend) and the world. Thank you, Todd!

Series #2 -- 13 October 2008 at about 7pm from the marching band practice field near the fieldhouse at BSGU:

• Flight #1 (twilight; 19.6 MB).

Series #1 -- 5 October 2008 at about 5pm from the athletic fields near the stadium and track at Bowling Green State University:

• Flight #1 (parachute lanyard in the way, but good coverage from launch to landing; 61.1 MB).
• Flight #2 (good view of launch through parachute deployment; 61.1 MB)
• Flight #3 (launched from inside the track; 25.7 MB)
• Clip of launch from ground cam (useful for computing speed and acceleration in physics classes, 13 frames/sec; 0.7 MB).
